Summary (not binding): You may exercise your rights regarding your personal data under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) — access, rectification, erasure and so on — by applying to us through the channels on this page. Your application will be concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
ARTICLE 1 — YOUR RIGHTS
1.1. Under Article 11 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), by applying to HİPOPOTAMYA BİLİŞİM LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ, a limited liability company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, in its capacity as data controller, you may:
- Learn whether your personal data are being processed,
- Request information regarding such processing, if any,
- Learn the purpose of the processing and whether your data are used in a manner consistent with that purpose,
- Know the third parties to whom your data are transferred, within Türkiye or abroad,
- Request rectification of incomplete or inaccurately processed data,
- Request erasure or destruction of your data within the framework of Article 7 of the KVKK,
- Request that rectification/erasure operations be notified to the third parties to whom the data have been transferred,
- Object to a result arising to your detriment from analysis carried out exclusively by automated systems,
- Claim compensation for damage suffered as a result of unlawful processing.
You hold each of the above rights in your capacity as a data subject.
ARTICLE 2 — APPLICATION CHANNELS
2.1. You may submit your application through the following channels, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller:

ARTICLE 3 — INFORMATION REQUIRED IN THE APPLICATION
3.1. Your application must state: your full name (and, for written applications, your signature), your Turkish ID number (for foreign nationals: nationality and passport/ID number), your residential or business address for service, an e-mail address and telephone number for notification purposes if available, and the subject of your request in a clear and comprehensible manner. Information and documents relating to the request must be attached to the application.
3.2. You may use the following template in your application:
ARTICLE 4 — ASSESSMENT PROCESS
4.1. Your application will be concluded free of charge as soon as possible according to its nature and in any event within 30 days at the latest. If the operation additionally entails a cost, the fees set out in the tariff determined by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Board) may be charged.
4.2. Additional information and documents may be requested in order to verify your identity. Where the application is made on behalf of a third party, a power of attorney containing special authorisation is required.
4.3. If your application is rejected, if you consider the response insufficient or if no response is given in due time, you retain the right to lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Board) within 30 days from the date on which you learn of the response and in any event within 60 days from the application date.
